Client Background:

Parker-Hannifin Corporation founded 1917 with headquarters are in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, in Greater Cleveland.  The company is one of the world leaders in motion control technologies including aerospace, climate control, electromagnetically, filtration, fluid and gas handling, hydraulics, pneumatic, process control, sealing and shielding.

Parker was planning a $5.1 million expansion at its Lakeview location,  where it began operating in 1976 and currently employs 116 people there. The facility, located at 8790 Tamarack Rd., is part of the motion and control technology manufacturer’s fluid system connectors division. The new expansion will create 46 new full-time jobs for the Montcalm County.

Challenge:

With the expansion underway, Parker Corporation needed exterior signage for the buildings and offices that could be installed efficiently and under strict time constants. Visibility and Functionality of the signs and window-door graphics was a priority in addition to maintaining by their brand guidelines.

DESIGN:

Metro’s survey and design team worked to create realistic representations of the signage on site scaled to size.

MANUFACTURING:

The new signs were fabricated at Metro Sign’s Warren office.

Fabrication Details of Monument Sign: Router cut acrylic letters with black perforated vinyl for day/night viewing. Brushed aluminum, double-sided cabinet encasing white LED lighting. Aluminum Black skirt with yellow 2 inch reveal

INSTALL:

The team from Metro Sign’s Ada office installed the wall signs, door vinyl and ground sign with footing. Metro’s experienced install technicians worked promptly and efficiently to have the signage be foundationally sound along with electrical wiring working properly.

Result:

We are very please with the end result of the project. The new signs help direct visitor when they enter the property
