Family owned since 1942, Metro Signs & Lighting has grown over the past 80 years from a small installation firm into a full-service Sign and Lighting solutions company covering all of southern Michigan. John and Paul Deters purchased Metro Detroit Signs in 1996 from the Randall family, adding custom design and fabrication capabilities for local clients shortly afterwards.

With a growing customer base that needed ongoing support for their sign and lighting needs, Metro Detroit Signs rebranded to Metro Signs & Lighting after opening a second location in Grand Rapids. Now headquartered on Kaltz Avenue in Warren, Metro Signs & Lighting is proud to be the home of a 3rd generation of Deters.
