Project Case Study
One Brand.10+ Locations.
DFCU Financial — Michigan
Project Overview
A sign system built to scale across Michigan
As DFCU Financial expanded across Michigan, the organization needed a signage partner that could maintain a consistent, professional brand presence across more than ten locations.
Each property presented a different scope. Some sites required a straightforward survey and removal, while others called for a complete visual package extending from exterior identification and wayfinding to door graphics, privacy film, and interior brand signage.
Metro Signs & Lighting partnered with DFCU's facility team to coordinate permitting, fabrication, and installation across multiple properties, adapting each package to the building while preserving one recognizable brand standard.
Exterior Branding & Directionals
Recognizable from reception to the roadway
To strengthen visibility and help customers navigate each site, Metro produced a coordinated mix of illuminated channel-letter wall signs, internally lit monument signs, and directional signage.
The exterior sign systems were designed for strong contrast, clear readability, and dependable nighttime performance. Directional signage guides drivers toward drive-up lanes, ATMs, and exits, while monument and wall signs create a recognizable DFCU presence from the roadway.
A Flexible Sign Family
One identity, translated across multiple environments
Building Identification
Exterior channel letters and dimensional logo elements establish clear branch identification while adapting to brick, masonry, and other architectural conditions.
Monument Signage
Internally illuminated monument signs extend the brand to the roadway with durable faces, dimensional elements, and consistent color reproduction.
Wayfinding
Directionals simplify vehicle circulation by identifying drive-up lanes, ATMs, exits, and other key customer destinations.
Interior Branding
Reception signage, glass graphics, operational information, and privacy film carry the DFCU identity through the customer experience.
Fabrication & Interior Signage
Built for durability, illumination, and repeatable brand quality
Metro's fabrication team translated the DFCU identity into a range of durable sign types. Aluminum channel-letter sets were built with white acrylic or perforated vinyl faces and equipped with crisp white LED illumination.
Monument signs incorporated polycarbonate faces, applied vinyl, and push-through acrylic elements. Inside the branches, halo-lit reception signage created a strong focal point and reinforced the brand at the customer-service level.
Branded door graphics communicated hours and policies, while frosted privacy vinyl was digitally printed and cut to fit each unique window and door condition.
